Sometimes we physically sit alone with no one around. Sometimes we feel emotionally abandoned, alone in our inner storm. Sometimes we are mentally trapped, not knowing ourselves how to get out of our own head. Sometimes our shame and guilt cause us to feel spiritually distant from those who love us, God included.
But my friend, we are never alone.
Jesus promised that while he was returning to the right hand of the Father, he is with us until the end. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. Every time we feel alone physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, we can hold fast to the promise that Jesus is God and is present wherever and whenever he chooses to be. And that's the amazing thing. He chooses to be present with us. He promised.
When you feel most alone, know that the Jesus who alone suffered the pain of death and hell for you, did it all so that you could always know God is for you and with you wherever you go.
You are never alone.
Deuteronomy 31:8
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
