Statement of Faith

Summary

We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternal and unchanging.
We believe the Bible is God’s perfect Word, fully trustworthy and Spirit-breathed.
We believe every human being is born lost in sin and can be rescued only through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We believe we’ve been placed here to boldly live out and share the good news of Jesus—no matter the cost, no matter the crowd.

The Triune God

God is not a distant idea—He is the living Creator and Ruler of all. From eternity, He exists as three persons in perfect unity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Equal in power and glory, the Triune God acts with purpose and calls us into life with Him.
(Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)

God the Father

Our Heavenly Father designed the universe and formed us with care—body, soul, and spirit. He sustains us daily, not by our merit, but by His mercy. Every breath, every gift, every heartbeat points back to Him.
(Genesis 1:1–2:3, Psalm 145:15–16)

Jesus Christ the Son

Jesus is God in the flesh—fully God, fully man, the promised Savior. He lived the perfect life we never could and died the death we deserved. He rose again in victory, ascended in glory, and now reigns as King of kings. One day He will return to judge and restore.
(John 1:1–5, Romans 1:3–4, Acts 1:9–11, 1 Timothy 6:14–15)

The Holy Spirit

The Spirit of God moves where we cannot. He opens blind eyes, awakens dead hearts, and draws people to Jesus. He strengthens us, guides us, convicts us, and bears fruit in us. His presence is our power to live out a life that glorifies God.
(John 16:7–13, Galatians 5:22–23, Ephesians 1:13)

The Bible

The Word of God is not optional or outdated—it’s our foundation. Inspired by the Spirit and without error, the Bible is God’s voice to His people. In its pages, we find truth, grace, correction, and the story of salvation through Christ. We submit all things to its authority.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20–21, Psalm 119:105)

Humanity

We were made in God’s image—but sin shattered that image. Now, by nature, we are rebels, not just broken but spiritually dead. But in Christ, we are made new—born again to live for God's glory and join Him in His redemptive mission.
(Ephesians 2:1–5, Genesis 1:27, Romans 5:12–21)

Salvation

Salvation is not earned. It’s not deserved. It’s grace—freely given by God through Jesus Christ. Faith itself is a gift. We don’t trust in ourselves, our goodness, or our willpower. We cling to the cross, where mercy triumphed over judgment.
(Ephesians 2:8–9, Romans 3:20–26, John 14:6)

Our Mission and Calling

We’re not here to be spectators. We’ve been saved to serve. Our purpose is to worship the One who saved us, walk in obedience to His Word, and boldly declare His name. We exist to know Christ and to make Him known—through how we live and how we love.
(2 Corinthians 5:14–21, Matthew 28:18–20)

Living in the Spirit

Life with Jesus isn’t dull—it’s full. Full of joy, challenge, growth, and eternal significance. As the Spirit transforms us, our lives become evidence of the Gospel: love, peace, courage, kindness, and conviction that point to a greater Kingdom.
(John 10:10, Galatians 5:22–23, 2 Corinthians 5:14–15)

Marriage, Gender & Sexuality

God’s design is intentional and good. He created us male and female, each bearing His image. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman—a living parable of Christ’s love for the Church. Sexuality, like all things, is meant to reflect His glory.
(Genesis 1:27, Matthew 19:4–6, Hebrews 13:4)

The Value of Life

Every human life matters because every person is made in God’s image. From the unborn to the elderly, from the strong to the vulnerable—every life is sacred. We are called to protect, honor, and stand for life in all its forms.
(Psalm 139:13–16)

Eternity

This life is not the end. Heaven and hell are real. Every soul will spend eternity either in communion with God or separated from Him. Christ alone offers the way to eternal life. Our hope is secure in Him, and our mission is urgent because of what’s at stake.
(John 3:16, Revelation 20:15, Romans 6:23)

Final Authority

The Word of God is our final authority for all belief, truth, and conduct. When questions arise, we don’t turn to culture, convenience, or consensus—we turn to the Scriptures and stand firm in their wisdom. We also hold to the Lutheran Confessions as faithful guides that echo the truth of God’s Word and correctly expound their ramifications for our faith and life.
